It starts with a blood feud between two clans along Egypt's Upper Nile River. The year is 1945, a few months after the end of World War II. A group of camel drivers from the al-Samman clan venture dangerously close to the territory of their rival clan to gather much needed fertilizer. Knowing they could be attacked at any moment, they quickly dig into the rich soil along the river bank. Suddenly, they come across an ancient earthenware jar.
