The complete five parts of religious writer Henry Coventry's (c. 1710-1752) deist dialogues on conduct, pleasure and sacrifice; replete with positive references to Anthony Ashley Cooper, third Earl of Shaftesbury (1671-1713), of whom Coventry was a prominent defender. William Warburton accused Coventry of making unfair use of information, confidentially communicated, which was about to be published in the second volume of his own Divine Legation (1741). The five parts were republished in one volume by his cousin, Francis Coventry (d. 1759), author, in 1753.
