A magnificent literary work, indeed! The seller would give this tome as a gift in a heartbeat because it is an important and well-written book for kids with fabulous illustrations. Available for Immediate Shipment!! There are NO card pocket(s) but a few stamps, bar codes and other library inscriptions. Little conspicuous wear. The library was strict and insisted on care of their books. The binding is tight and the text is clean. The dust jacket is enclosed in a Broadary cover. With its macabre images of the slithering, rustling creatures of the forest, this ghost-poem begs to be read aloud-in a slow, menacing voice. A four-line refrain, "The wood is full of shining eyes, / The wood is full of cree ping feet, / The wood is full of tiny cries: / You must not go to the wood at night! , " syncopates the tale. Book itself is nice and there is NO underlining, tobacco odor or highlighting. Overall, this is a great copy with tight binding and clean pages. A fascinating story for your favorite child. You will not be disappointed.
