[EAN: 9788178000244], D'occasion, comme neuf, [SC: 14.0], [PU: BS Pub], 58200, Contents Preface. 1. Basic concepts. 2. Review of classical methods. 3. Modelling of synchronous machine. 4. Excitation and prime mover controllers. 5. Transmission lines SVC and Loads. 6. Dynamics of a synchronous generator connected to infinite bus. 7. Analysis of single machine system. 8. Application of power system stabilizers. 9. Analysis of multimachine system. 10. Analysis of subsynchronous resonance. 11. Countermeasures for subsynchronous resonance. 12. Simulation for transient stability evaluation. 13. Application of energy functions for direct stability evaluation. 14. Transient stability controllers. 15. Introduction to voltage stability. Appendices. Index. Modern power systems tend to be very complex not only due to increasing demand for quality power but also on account of extensive interconnections and increasing dependence on control for optimum utilization for existing resources. A good knowledge of system dynamics and control is essential for secure operation of the system. This book is intended to serve the needs of the student and practicing engineers. The book is divided into 15 chapters. The first two chapters introduce basic concepts of stability and provide a review of classical techniques of analysis used earlier. Chapters 3 to 5 develop system model in detail. The generator model is derived from basic circuit equations and the use of Park's transformation. The models of excitations system turbine governor system transmission lines SVC and loads are also discussed. The dynamics of a Synchronous Machine Infinite Bus (SMIB) system is presented in chapter 6. Chapter 7 to 9 present the small signal stability analysis applied to the problem of low frequency oscillations and control based on the use of Power System Stabilizer (PSS). Chapters 10&11 describe Subsynchronous Resonance (SSR) phenomenon its analysis and countermeasures. Chapter 12 presents study of transient stability problem by simulation. Chapter 13 introduces direct methods of stability analysis using energy functions. Various transient stability controllers are described in chapter 14. The basic concepts of voltage stability and methods of analysis are discussed in chapter 15. A large number of illustrative examples are included to provide an insight into the application of the theory. 572 pp.<
