Starting out in the classroom as a beginning teacher is rough. As a new teacher, I found the education classes I had taken in order to become certified lacked in one major area: practicality. I found myself standing in front of my students with a lot of wonderful theory about what to do but very little knowledge on how to apply it. After a few tough years trying to figure things out, I was burned out and regretfully decided to pursue other options. Ultimately, I found myself reflecting on what I could have done better, which resulted in the culmination of this book.
