No other marks or stamps and interior text pages are flawlessly white. The dust jacket is complete but tattered. In publication since 1914 this reference book increased in popularity throughout the world. It was used extensively as a standard work of reference in all countries where machines or other mechanical products are designed and manufactured. It was revised periodically with selected material from the limitless supply of data pertaining to the mechanical field keeping in mind the requirements of the design and production departments of both large and small manufacturing plants as well as the needs of the jobbing shop, the trade school and the technical school. There are thumb tabs for Log Tables, Trig Tables, Mechanics, Materials, Gearing, Screws, Threads, Fits, Small Tools, Speeds Feeds, Steels, Non Ferrous, Weights Measures, and the Index. This 19th Edition includes considerable metric data based on SI units, as well as British Standards based mainly on ISO Recommendations. Much of the Handbook's information is of course independent of measurement units, or can be used with metric or English units.
