WHITE - REFORMING REGULATION: PROCESSES AND PROBLEMS, TOXIC WASTE REGULATION,MARITIME TRANSPORT REGULATION,EXHAUST EMISSIONS REGULATION, COAL REGULATION,ENVIRONMENT ENVIRONMENTAL, This is a Good Copy -- in fairly good condition--no internal marks or underlines. There is a former owner's name/address stamp on the half-title page and a bit of wear at the bottom edge of the front cover. It is interesting that in the 1980's there was an immense move towards deregulation and to re-definging the role of environmental and economic regulation in the market place. This book covers issues such as heavy truck exhaust emissions, abandon chemical and toxic waste sites, maritime transportation and the use of coal--among other things. More recently, there is a move back towards either intensely scrutinized self-regulatory systems or even some forms of re-regulation. This book is detailed and well worth consideration by those concerned about issues such as environmental quality and the appropriate role of regulation in government.
